RESEARCH FOCUS:

I have long standing interests in regenerative medicine, and now my research focus on the inner ear hair cell/spiral ganglion neuron regeneration and the regulation of inner ear stem cell/neural stem cell. My main research finding is to identify the Lgr5+ inner ear stem cell and use these cells to regenerate inner ear hair cells. Now my group is investigating the co-regulation mechanism of these inner ear stem cells, and we aim to regenerate the functional hair cells and partially recover hearing loss.
