Professor Wang Jianguo Made Keynote Speeches in MIT and Harvard


Professor Wang Jianguo, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor Han Dongqing, dean of School of Architecture, SEU led a delegation to MIT and Harvard from February 11th to 15th. During the visit, the delegation discussed issues about contemporary urban and rural problems with Professor Santos, former Dean of School of Architecture and Planning in MIT and Professor Hashim, the current dean. They sincerely remarked on their current cooperative study achievements and made fruitful communication results.  



On February 12th, Professor Wang made a keynote speech with the theme of “Contemporary Urban Design” in Harvard University. Abalos, Dean of School of Design in Harvard University hosted the speech. Professor Wang analyzed on the theoretical perspectives, method innovation and typical program practice through his 15 urban design and 22 architecture design programs. He emphasized on the characteristics and innovation results of Chinese urban design in his speech. This speech was evaluated as “Declaration of Chinese Academe in Field of Urban Design”.
