On July 15th, The opening ceremony for the 2015 National Youth College Science Camp: Southeast University Camp was held in Jiulonghu Camps of SEU. More than 360 outstanding high school students from Jiangsu, Hebei, Anhui, Inner Mongolia, Yunnan, Ningxia, Hongkong and other provinces came to Nanjing and attended the opening ceremony under the company of their teachers.
The 2015 National Youth College Science Camp: Jiangsu Camp is held through the cooperation of Southeast University, Nanjing University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), and Nanjing University of Science and Technology. On July 16th, the SEU campers went to NUAA to attend the opening ceremony of Jiangsu Camp. After the opening ceremony, the campers visited several spots in Sipailou campus, including Juniperus chinensis from Six Dynasties, the auditorium, the Memorial Hall for Chien-Shiung Wu, and the History Museum of SEU. They also went into the 3D laboratory and robot laboratory in the university, which greatly aroused their interests.
It is learned that the activities arranged for the 2015 National Youth College Science Camp: Southeast University Camp aims to provoke the campers’ interests in science, encourage their thirst for exploring, and provide a chance for them to experience college life in advance. A bunch of renowned college professors in fields of information engineering, civil engineering, and humanities will deliver a series of wonderful lecture for the campers, outstanding college students will share their growing experience with them. Besides, in the practice segment, each camper will be provided a chance to be a professional architect, telecom engineer or physicist for one day.
