Do you still play video games in bright sunny days? Do you still sleep late in the morning and miss a healthy breakfast? The mental health center in Southeast University planned a “30 Days,Meet a Better Self” Growth Plan for undergraduate students and intended to cultivate good living habits for them.
On April 16th, Southeast University initiated the “5.25 Mental Health Month” plan, and encouraged undergraduate students to make a small change everyday in order to meet a better self in 30 days. The plan included changes in almost every aspect of daily life, like enjoying a healthy breakfast, saying goodbye to staying up all night, taking a walk in the campus, chatting with roommates before going to sleep, etc..
According to the organizers, students can join in the activity through the app We Chat, and share their everyday “homework” with a brief review and a related picture. Their performance will be viewed and recorded by organizers through the operation backstage.
“These tasks in 30 days mainly concerns three aspects of students’ life, physical exercise, healthy life style and interpersonal relationship.”a teacher from the students' affairs office introduced. “Through this plan, we want to encourage students to go to the gym, to pay more attention to their parents, to care about people around them, and to join more campus activities.”
According to Professor Guo Jinlin, a psychological health education expert, most habits and behavioral pattern will start to take shape in 3 weeks, the 30 Days Plan aims to help students rediscover themselves, to construct healthy relationships with others, and to improve their living quality.
