Knight Micheal Sterling (Academician in Royal Academy of Engineering of Great Britain) Joined Southeast University as a Guest Professor

On 14th April, Southeast University held a grand ceremony to welcome Michael Sterling, an Academician in Royal Academy of Engineering of Great Britain join our university as a guest professor. Shen Jiong, our Vice President issued the certificate to Knight Sterling and wore an school badge of Southeast University for him. The ceremony was hosted by Huang Xue-liang, the Dean of School of Electrical Engineering. 

After the ceremony, Knight Micheal Sterling delivered an academic lecture titled “Towards a Smart Grid”, and made a communication with the teachers and students on the spot. 

Knight Micheal Sterling is an Academician in Royal Academy of Engineering of Great Britain and National Academy of Engineering of Czech Republic. In addition, he is a member of the Prime Minister’ s Council for Science and Technology and chairman of its energy sub-group. 

Sterling was knighted in the 2012 Birthday Honours for his outstanding contribution to higher education, science and engineering.
