SEU's Southern America Alumni Association was Formally Established

 

     On September 15, the first member meeting of Southeast University's Southern America Alumni Association was held in Houston, USA, marking the formal establishment of Southeast University's Southern America Alumni Association. 12 alumni representatives and the members from the Chinese Students and Scholars Association Wang Lu, Wang Rui and Feng Xiang attended the meeting. It was presided over by Dr. Cai Mingdong, head of the preparatory group of the Alumni Association.
    The meeting discussed, modified and then passed the Articles of the Alumni Association. In addition, it enacted the leadership institutions and ways of working of the Alumni Association. At the meeting, Dr. Cai Mingdong was elected as the first president of the Alumni Association, Dr. Wang Haoyu executive vice president. The meeting also had the vice president elected and generated the member list of the Council. The newly elected members of the Council then discussed their work plan to promote the cooperation and exchanges between the Alumni Association and the alma mater in scientific research.
   Thanks to the support and encouragement from the Alumni Association of Southeast University and after almost a whole year's preparatory work of the alumni in Houston, South America, Southeast University's Southern America Alumni Association was finally established. Prior to its formal establishment, the Southern America Alumni Association was formally registered in Texas on August 1 this year and the first preparatory meeting of the Alumni Association inaugural meeting was successfully held on August 11.
