On the morning of September 15th, University of Khartoum delegation visited Southeast University under the leadership of President Ahmed Mohamed Suliman. President Yi Hong and Vice President Pu Yuepu of SEU met with the distinguished guests.
Owing to the meeting, SEU found that it has much in common with University of Khartoum in terms of the number of campuses as well as the scale of students and faculty. Besides, the two universities were both established in 1902. As a result, it is advisable for both sides to enhance cooperation, which might be started by the communication between teachers and students. SEU firmly welcomes young teachers and students to come and take a refresher course. UofK totally agreed with SEU’s proposal and expressed that it would boost mutual exchange and communication making full use of source advantages on both sides. After the meeting, President Suliman paid a visit to Medical School in SEU and SEU Zhong Da Subsidiary Hospital, mainly paying attention to relevant laboratories and Out-patient Department of the hospital. He also had a chat with head of related departments.
University of Khartoum is a multi-campus, co-educational, public university located in Khartoum. It is the largest and oldest university in Sudan. It was founded as Gordon Memorial College in 1902 and established in 1956 when Sudan gained independence. The university enjoys a high degree of internalization and 95% of the teachers possess foreign educational background. According to statistics, 70% lawyers in Dubai, UAE come from Law Department in University of Khartoum.
