On December 8, the fourth Jiangsu annual conference of young scientists whose theme was "transformation and upgrading and the mission of young scientists" was kicked off in Nanjing. Prof. Wu Gang from the School of Civil Engineering of SEU won Jiangsu “Ten Young Stars of Science and Technology” .
At the prize presentation ceremony, Professor Wu Gang took the certificate from the hands of Li Xueyong, Governor of Jiangsu Province, and made a statement on behalf of all the winners. After the ceremony, Professor Wu Gang accepted an exclusive interview with Xinhua Network during which he gave a detailed introduction on how the discipline of civil engineering in our school benefited the scientific development, and transformation and upgrading of Jiangsu Province, and moreover made contribution to the construction of beautiful China through its scientific achievements such as new building industrialization, new fiber reinforced composite material.
